Connections North 2022

Connections North 2022, Canada’s Proffessional Wargaming Conference

Connections North is an annual conference devoted to conflict simulation, wargaming, and other serious games. It is intended for national security professionals, policymakers, researchers, educators, game designers, university students, and others interested in the field of wargaming and other serious games.

Jim Wallman, head of the Stone Paper Scissors team, is proud to join the panel as a speaker at the conference on a number of sessions:

Gaming Coalitions: Beyond Generic Blue

Wargames in general tend to have two sides - the blue team and the red team. The blue team are the ‘home team’ and the red team the adversaries. This session will explore how helpful this style is when in the real world international relationships are more complext.

Influence Gaming

Alongside Graham Longley-Brown, a proffessional colleague, Jim and Graham will be talking about their recent work with UK DSTL on wargaming influence.

Whose Game is it Anyway?

In this session, the panel will be asked a series of serious-gaming questions set by the audience - but in the style of the 1990s (UK) / 2000s (US) improvisational comedy show “Whose Line is it Anyway?"!
